Hello, my name is Lisa Conquet.
I am a psychotherapist and transformational life coach.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I got my BA in Psychology at Vassar College and my MSW at NYU.
Being a writer and creative individual with many interests helps me connect to my incredible, multi-faceted clients. I enjoy including art, books, poetry, film, writing and journaling in our work.
I have a client-centered approach to therapy that integrates a holistic mind/body/spirit understanding into the therapeutic process.
What does that mean exactly?
It means you are not a number, or a symptom, but a person who is unique, who experiences life in your own way. My goal is to work to understand the whole person in order to effectively treat the whole person — you. There is a mind-body connection and our physical, emotional and spiritual health are directly related to our mental health. I will work with you to help you recognize patterns that can be changed in order to promote overall well being.
Nutrition plays a major role in physical and mental health and, therefore, overall well being. In order to better serve my clients, as of November 2019, I am certified in Nutritional and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health.
As of 2023, I am an ICF-trained coach. This allows me to utilize elements of both disciplines to offer more interventions to my therapy clients. In addition, I am now able to serve clients who are not in need of a mental health intervention but rather are seeking a collaborative partnership as they navigate creating a roadmap toward change in their life.
